LOOK IN THE MIRROR PLEASE

It is time the ‘Left Liberal’ cabal (and I use the word ‘liberal’ here very loosely and ONLY because it is accepted terminology in the media for this group of arrogant people) takes a good look at themselves in the mirror. Oh wait … that might call for introspection. Ok … time for them to be shown the mirror then. The sanctimonious halo that they have crowned on their heads stinks of arrogance, rabid intolerance, abusive language, bullying and a deep deep bias. Every human-rights value that they shriek about in convent-educated English, is applicable only to the ‘others’. They are free to abuse and bully people on social media, shamelessly throwing to wind all that they say they stand for. That is the unfortunate truth.

Ranveer Shorey has recently been trolled in the most abusive language by this cabal. From being called the ‘worst form of humanity’ to a ‘violent, toxic patriarch’ and a ‘terrorist’, this group has unleashed its venom on this man. His fault? He put up a poll on Twitter that said: And if the only available choices are to be RaGa or NaMo, who would you choose? So basically, what this cabal believes in is that if you agree with them ANd if you abuse Mr. Narendra Modi, then you are kosher and a keeper of humanity. But God forbid, you don’t, then you are fascist, evil, scum of humanity and other forms of reptile life. The cabal has as you see a God-given right to abuse.

The intolerance of this gang was again visible yesterday when the Congress head of Maharashtra, openly threatened some Bollywood actors that if they didn’t tweet against the central government on the fuel prices then they would not be allowed to shoot in Mumbai and their films would not be released. REALLY? Of course there is deafening silence on this issue. The Maharashtra Home Minister is also on record saying that the tweets of Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar that were in support of the central government are going to be ‘investigated’. Pray please tell me — is this your standard of ‘freedom of speech’ being protected?

I know of many many examples where old friendships have fallen on the wayside due to political differences. The interesting data point on this is that in EACH case, it was the anti-Modi, ‘left liberal’ person who chose to end the friendship. A friend who was chatting with a friend of many years got into a conversation about demonitisation shortly after it happened. She said that she supported the move where as her friend was against it. When they finished the call, the girl who was pro-demonitisation was unfriended by the girl who was anti the move. Tolerance? Freedom of speech?

It’s high time this group woke up to the fact they set the benchmark for double standards in public debate. Time to get rid of that halo guys. It just doesn’t sit well.
